R. R. Alan Brown Inc. opened its doors in 1957 originally in a small, one room design studio on Sprague Avenue, in downtown Spokane by namesake R. Alan Brown. His dream was to bring exceptional design insight and top quality merchandise to the Spokane community and the surrounding Inland Northwest. R. Alan took pride in hard work and devotion to great design, bringing beautiful décor into customer’s homes. He’d found his niche, and when the Parkade Plaza was built in 1967 he expanded into a design showroom of 10,000 sq ft. displaying the finest furniture Spokane had to offer. After 18 successful years, we shifted back to a smaller showroom, allowing a stronger focus on interior design work.
Since the company’s opening it has been family owned and operated with close friends taking part in the tradition. Now run by R. Alan’s eldest son, Travis, we still pride ourselves on strong customer relations and the highest quality merchandise.
To date, we are located in the Spokane Valley and enjoy working for fantastic clients who understand the advantages, both professional and economical, in residential and commercial interior design. We now have enjoyed more than half a century of experience in bringing stunning interiors to the beautiful Inland Northwest.
